True Organic SEO : No Artificial Fillers

In the world of SEO there has been some buzz -and confusion–about the term “Organic SEO”. In order to truly understand what organic SEO is, it helps to understand what it isn’t. Back when SEO was brand new, there were two distinct schools of SEO practices, labeled the “White-hats” and the “Black- hats”. Organic SEO firms are the equivalent of the white hats. So what distinguishes a white hat firm from a black hat? There are many differences, but the biggest of them all is content.
In organic SEO, there is no doubt that fresh, relevant content is king. Search engines rely on content in order to function, and a truly organic SEO firm understands that there is no way around this. Black hats, on the other hand, do not focus on developing content but rely on technological loopholes that, more or less, make the search engines believe there is content there when there isn’t.
The main problem with this strategy is that while it may temporarily increase the ranks on search engines, the method does nothing to increase the quality and relevance of that site. One reason why search engines change their algorithms regularly is to weed out sites that are “artificially” ranked high (due to methods used by black-hats). Therefore, the black hat SEO strategy only works until the next algorithm shift when it will have to change its tricks again. Organic SEOs, on the other hand, build ranks naturally and legitimately, through strong content that visitors actually find useful.
Another must in SEO is increasing the amount of inbound links to your site. As with content building, black hats rely on artificial methods of garnering links, such as purchasing text links, reciprocal linking schemes, and link farms. Organic SEOs avoid these schemes, and instead look to increase inbound links naturally.
The larger issue with artificially building rankings through black-hat techniques is that high rankings alone does not equate to more sales. While it is certainly true that their methods of algorithm-busting can raise rankings to the top, in the end, if that site’s content has not been developed into relevant content useful to the visitor, that visitor will quickly leave the site, never to be seen again. Organic Search Engine Optimization methods, however, not only seek to make a site search engine friendly, but user friendly as well. Sites with relevant and strong content are more likely to produce visitors and increase sales. Which, ultimately, is the true purpose of SEO.
